“We reserved the “Family Room - Jungle View” which is advertised as offering one room with a double bed and the other with two single beds which is perfect for our family of four. When we got into our rooms, both had two single beds. When we asked if one set of beds could be slid together, we were told no and that the hotel was full so we had no other options. The staff apologized but made no attempt to offer any other suggestions or concessions. The rooms are small and more dated than they appear on the website. The bathrooms are tiny. Bar service on the rooftop was so slow we finally canceled our order. Dinner service was also slow and the lamb was severely over cooked. So far, definitely not the 5 star experience we expected. The jungle itself is gorgeous and the view of the falls spectacular. We still have another day and a half to go. I will update my review if things improve.”

“Absolutely amazing place. Right in the middle of the national park and with a view of the waterfalls.
The various walks and tram station are a short walk away, so you can easily do most things in a day if you like walking. The pool is gorgeous and also has a view over the jungle and into the waterfalls.
The rooms are nice, but pretty standard. What set this hotel apart for me was the service. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.
Really the best place to stay if you want to get the full experience.”

I really wanted to love the Melia. Knew it from a stay 12 years ago when it was Sheraton. The pictures on website show the renovation, but it's really more of a face lift than a reservation.
The good - Huge pool to spend the day playing with kids or recovering after tours of the falls and park. The water is so warm by the afternoon, could use some cool water to make it refreshing. Jonathan, lifeguard, was very good with our kids and took time to even teach them about life saving techniques. In the Red Level club, Alexandra also went out of her way to make sure we were happy and enjoyed playing with the kids.
At breakfast, Juan did a nice job making sure we had everything we needed. The selection was good, from fresh fruits to waffles, eggs, etc.
Other than that, service was a bit disappointing for what they charge and supposedly a five-star experience. Didn't have the special touches or that you expect at this level. Turn down was nice but cleaning mediocre (paper on floor remained after 4 nights).
Rooms and bathrooms are pretty small, maintaining the Sheraton module.
Check in / out at red level lounge seemed great, but front desk was not informed and pulled us out of our taxi to pay our bill, which had already been closed.
When inquiring about tours, we got a different answer from each person we asked.
Considering the special location and prices, they could really up their game with some training, coordination and special services.

The hotel location is privileged. Walking distance to the Saltos and inside the National Park.
Service was excellent with transfers in and out of the hotel to the airport, the Duty Free shop and even Brazil. The staff is amazing and always attentive to our needs.
The pool is on another level, overlooking the falls you can take amazing pictures there.
Will come back for sure!

The hotel in general was outstanding! We upgraded the room for a suite that had an amazing view of the river and the waterfalls. The staff was courteous and very friendly in which complemented the service in general. We had a warning though, to be careful with some monkeys that come in to the rooms and steal things, lol. For us was the best warning ! And we got to see them in our balcony 😂

There are better hotels in the world, for sure. But this hotel is very nice and located inside the park, which is amazing! You can sit in a beautiful 50 meter infinity pool overlooking the falls, and then walk right into the park trail. It's incredible. The hotel is modern and has a nice design. The food is the only disappointment. But if you've been to other locations like this one, you won't be surprised. They typically don't have amazing food. You're really paying for the location, not the cuisine.
