“My partner brought me here for my birthday. What a treat. This place exhumes class, hidden in the old town close to the royal palace and opera house. Well worth the views from the rooftop pool/jacuzzi/bar.
Also, some advice (valid as of the date of this post):
Make sure to book from the hotel's website (not Trip Advisor and the like) and apply for their membership - you'll get 85€ free credit. You also get a free room upgrade, if available.”

I would give the Palacio de los Duques Gran Meliá 6 stars if that were possible. A great room with excellent facilities and absolutely outstanding service. As a frequent traveller who mainly uses 5 star hotels I have international comparisons and this hotel is definitely in the top 1%.
The service is of such a high standard that it is hard to match. Personal approach, friendly reception, extremely well-informed concierge, maximally helpful room service (!) (!!) - all superlative.
I have rarely felt so welcome in a hotel as I did in this one.
